Who are we?
An independent supporters group with the sole purpose of improving the communication between the club, its fans and the community the club serves.
By offering practical and financial support through social events, fundraising and community projects that will help and benefit the club.
WISSL was established in 2005 and was initially actively involved with Widnes Vikings operating under the title of Trust in Widnes.
The trust sponsored the academy teams;
Obtained funding for school initiatives delivered by the Vikings community team;
Produced and sold the fanzine ‘Gerrin’ to ‘em’;
Set up the buy a brick initiative with commemorative plaques on the stadium concourses;
Supported the development of womens’ teams at Liverpool University and Halton Women and Girls’;
Operated a junior Kemik club with family trips and Easter and Christmas parties.
Held numerous community family fun days and barbecues
